Don’t forget to vote this coming Tuesday, April 22nd. The Webmaster of this site supports Barack Obama. However, it is important that all Democrats in Pennsylvania vote and support their candidate.
If you are unable to get to the polls call your local Democratic Party Office and rides to the polls are available. In Lebanon County the phone number for the Democratic Party is 717-273-8761.
If you support Obama call the local Obama campaign office at 774-994-7612. The office is located at 754 Willow Street.

I wrote this definition of “The Liberal” in 2004, dismayed by how the word liberal was being smeared in American politics.
“There is among us one who dreams of a better tomorrow, who sees the potential for greater justice, and who gladly toils toward that end. Her basic impulse is faith — in the abundance of human compassion, in the future, and in the essential mercy of Providence. Though mocked by those whose basic impulse is fear, she goes about her work in silent anonymity, sure that her calling is as necessary today as ever it was when more sang her praises. She will not resign, for as a mother never would forsake her baby’s cries, her very being is in her work. Her name is Liberal.”

Recent events, the trail of audio and videotapes, Hadley’s comments and Bush’s comments all seem like cues. The “peace part” of the Bush’s mission seems like a cover story. What he’s really seeking, it seems, is a confrontation with Iran.
